DFG Schwerpunkt  Metamaterialien

DFG Priority Program  Metamaterials

Am 26./27. Juni 2005 findet im Physikzentrum Bad Honnef ein
DFG-Rundgespräch zu elektromagnetischen Metamaterialien statt. Ziel ist die Antragstellung (2006) auf Einrichtung eines neuen DFG-Schwerpunkts im Jahr 2007. Im Zentrum dieses Schwerpunkts sollen künstliche elektromagnetische Materialien stehen, die es erlauben, die Propagationseigenschaften elektromagnetischer Wellen zu kontrollieren. Dabei sollen alle Aspekte betrachtet werden, d. h. die Auswahl geeigneter künstlicher Komposit-Materialien (z. B. Materialien mit negativem Brechungsindex oder plasmonische Materialien), inklusive Strukturdesign und Strukturierung, die theoretische Untersuchung der Effekte und deren experimentelle Verifizierung. 

Potenzielle Antragsteller, die ihre Vorschläge bei dem Rundgespräch in 15-minütigen Vorträgen vorstellen sollten, können sich über
